A wine lovers dream! We stayed in the heart of the Luberon Valley just outside of Gordes, indulging heartily in wine tasting from Lirac and Tavel to Vacqueyras, Gigondas and Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Then it was on to Nice on the French Riviera with visits to Monaco and Eze and much, much more. Below: the cobbled streets of Lacoste.


Normandy, Brittany and Paris - May 2012
Using Paris as a base, we explored this special region of France, placing special emphasis on the D-day beaches and the Impressionists. 

Organic Wine Tasting in Italy - October 2011
We began in the town of Sirmione on a peninsula amidst Lago di Garda with a wine tastings at Pratello and La Stoppa wineries. Our next base was Florence, home to some of the world's best art, not to mention pasta and gelato! We explored the smaller villages of Tuscany and Umbria, eating and tasting wine at local farms, then to Campania where we ended our journey amidst lemon groves and the joys of the Amalfi Coast.  Below: Tasting wine with Elena Pantaleoni of La Stoppa.
