The Markets, Bistros and Wine Bars of Paris

The Markets, Bistros and Wine Bars of Paris

28 April - 5 May 2016

I am deeply saddened by the attacks in Paris, as I think all of us are. What the French, and the world, need now is our support and so I intend to carry on as always.

We’ll be in Paris over May Day on May 1st when everyone trades Muguet or Lily of the Valley. And when the skies aren't raining, doesn’t, oh! it is wonderful, the café tables come out and there is such anticipation in the air.

A couple of highlights this year: the gastronomical menu degustation at La Truffière, www.latruffiere.com which those from last year can tell you was truly an incredible and memorable dining experience. Each of the nine courses paired with wine. Also a dinner at Michelin-starred restaurant, Il Vino d’Enrico www.enricobernardo.com where the meal is paired with the wines, not vice versa. This is the concept restaurant of Enrico Bernardo, voted best sommelier in the world in 2004. Then, weather permitting on Tuesday, we will dine outside under the trees at the edge of the lake at Le Chalet de l’isle... after taking the little ferry across. And a restaurant that has become one of my top favourites in Paris, La Ferrandaise. www.laferrandaise.com. This and more! Our hotel Jardins du Luxembourg, sits on the edge of the Luxembourg Gardens, on a dead end street, so quiet, http://www.les-jardins-du-luxembourg.com.
