Beyond Ordinary Travel is a tour company specializing in high quality travel. We focus on small, customized tours taking clients off the beaten tourist trail. Our dictum: “Go beyond ordinary travel.” We offer a wide range of tours from gastronomy and oenology to specialty healing and spiritual tours, but our emphasis remains the same: offering customers a slice of local life.

Our tours are led by experience tour guides with knowledge of local customs and geography. The company uses first class hotels while eschewing large chains. Rather, customers stay in charming B & Bs enjoying local cuisine, including Michelin stared meals. We work closely with inhabitants of the countries we visit allowing clients a glimpse into the interior lives that exist beyond their hotel rooms.

Beyond Ordinary Travel is committed not only to opening peoples’ minds, educating and bridging cultural gaps, but also to opening hearts. Our tours are designed to lead you down roads of self exploration and discovery. In addition, Beyond Ordinary Travel incorporates a policy of charitable giving. A percentage of profits is donated to charities. (See Our Charities.) We are also committed to helping the indigenous people of other countries; therefore, you will find us volunteering to help in our free time!
