Kay makes travel feel personal. A highlight of each trip was being welcomed into the homes of her friends, local vintners, who graciously served us memorable French and Italian cuisine. Their generosity and hospitality was heartwarming! It made me feel connected, and the world suddenly seemed smaller.

The trip to Paris was so great, we traveled to Italy and Provence with Kay. There is such attention to details. She knows all the locals so we are able to go into people’s homes, have lunch, tour a farm. It’s beautiful and amazing. Outstanding tours.

Five stars. Kay is knowledgeable about the history, architecture, food and wine and so much more. The hotels are wonderful, the people kind as can be, the food so good you need to swim laps to work it off. I would go back on these same tours again and again. I have!

I have toured in Provence many times over the past twenty years and thought I had discovered most of its many secrets. But in the one week I spent with Kay Pfaltz I experienced a entirely different, more personal Provence. The hotels, the restaurants, and the hidden gems she discovered were all exceptional. And at every stop she shared her deep knowledge of the area and her personal connections with all the people who made the trip so special!

Traveling to Provence with Kay, in a small group, was a dream. She made it so easy and comfortable. Everywhere we went she was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm, so we were all able to revel in the friendships she has there. The food was superb, the wine fantastic, the markets tremendous and the scenery phenomenal. Before we went, we gulped at the cost. While we were there, we kept saying, ‘How is she possibly doing this for what we paid?’

Outstanding. The right amount of art; the right amount of free time; the right amount of everything! I’d go back again.

The Provence trip far exceeded my expectations. I felt like it was really two trips instead of one. Everything was perfectly paced. The food and wine amazing! The people gracious and warm. Highly, highly recommended.

There are no words. Truly I can’t say enough about the two trips I took. Italy and Provence. Exquisite. We learned so much. We laughed so much. We ate so much! I loved every minute. Kay is masterful.

Visiting the south of France can stimulate the senses in the most wonderful ways. Our trip to Provence and Cote d’Azur with Kay in June of 2019 was dreamy in every sense of the word. The colorful markets, lavender gardens, abundant flowers, perfume, olive oil, chocolate, sounds of the cicadas, the beautiful natural light that has attracted artists for years as well as the breath-taking views of the Mediterranean, still titillate our memory and our senses.

We experienced a child-like awe while viewing The Carriers de Luminieres - massive rock quarries reflecting the works of Van Gogh with light (and music). We walked the cobbled streets of the hilltop villages in the Luberon, and silently appreciated the simplicity of Matisses’s white chapel as the play of colored light flooded through the stain glass windows. Nice, Cap Ferrat, Monaco and an unforgettable lunch on the terrace of Chateau Eza topped the chart.

The fabulous cuisine and delicious wine highlighted the trip. And how special it was to create friendships with winemakers as they gave personal tours. One winemaker in particular treated us to a traditional French Sunday lunch at their home. This is the kind of experience you never forget. The entire trip could not have been better planned. The daily information, accommodations, and private coach were lovely, comfortable and convenient. Just thinking about it makes us want go again!
